Teens! Come rage with the grannies and make posters for Earth Month! Drop-in and learn a little bit about this history of the qathet chapter of these hat wearing iconoclasts.

The Raging Grannies were started in Victoria, BC by a group of wise women elders who wanted to promote social justice, economic equality, and global peace. The goal of the Raging Grannies is to raise public awareness by using the medium of song and humour in the tradition of street theatre. Wearing their long skirts, shawls, and their outrageous hats while singing their satirical songs, they replace the image of “nice little old ladies” with the reality of feisty, outrageous older women.

Write On is a fun, creative, and informal online space for writers. Participating writers will receive creativity-sparking prompts each week, and we will write for 20-25 minutes followed by discussion and time to share and celebrate writing.
