RPGs are a great way to combine your imagination and love of games. You supply the team, we’ll take care of the rest! All you need is a valid Powell River Public Library card in good standing (i.e. outstanding fines/charges less than $10.00)!
How to Use
Every journey begins by assembling your supplies and teammates. Everything you need for your first campaign is in the game kit and includes guidebooks, manuals, and dice. Here’s how it works:
- Choose a kit from PRPL’s catalogue. There are three kits available (Coyote & Crow, and two Dungeons and Dragons kits, one available for in library use and another for take home use). Dungeons and Dragons kits can be combined with D&D adventure books in the library’s collection, allowing you to experience a whole new campaign.
- Click on the game you’d like to play and select ‘Place Hold.’ Once the kit is available, it will be set aside for you and you’ll receive a notification it’s ready to pick up. You’ll have seven days to pick it up from the library service desk.
- RPG kits available for take home use, have a loan period of four-weeks. If you’d like to renew the kit, you’ll be able to do so through your PRPL account as long as there are no other holds on the kit. Please Note: RPG Kit #2 is available for in-library use only and must be returned to the service desk after use that same day.
- To return the RPG kit, just take it to PRPL’s service desk. Kits must be returned in full, with the box and all materials on the inventory list. If not, the person responsible for the account will be asked to pay a replacement fee for lost or damaged items, particularly books and manuals.
