School Tours

We love showing the Powell River Public Library to students of all-ages! We offer a variety of ways for students, teachers, homeschoolers and parents to explore the Library. These exciting opportunities include: 1) pre-recorded tour videos 2) scheduled zoom-based virtual library tours and 3) scheduled in-person library tours. Read on to learn more about each of these options:

1) Pre-recorded videos:

Get to know your Library! In these videos for kids and teens you’ll get to know the space, our services, the collection and some of the familiar faces you’ll see when you visit the Library.

2) Zoom-based virtual library tour and library card requests

OR

3) In-person library tour and library card requests

For options 2 and 3, the booking process is the same. To request a library tour and cards for your students, please fill out the Teacher Request Form below and have parents or guardians complete the Student Library Card Application. In the Teacher Request Form, you’ll be able to specify whether you want an in-person or virtual library tour. When you’ve received all the completed Library Card Application forms from your students, you can either drop your tour package off at the library or scan and send it to:
