WIR 2022 – Launch Event: Meet Gabrielle Prendergast

Meet PRPL’s new Writer in Residence, Gabrielle Prendergast at this special launch event, which includes a keynote talk and author reading. Gabrielle will present her numerous books for children and teens, including the fantasy novel The Crosswood part of her award-winning middle-grade trilogy, The Faerie Woods.

Learn more about the workshops and programs Gabrielle will be hosting during her stay, including one-on-one writing consultations (September 9 – November 4).

PRPL’s 2022 Writer in Residence – Gabrielle Prendergast

Gabrielle Prendergast is the award-winning author of numerous books for children and teens. Gabrielle has been nominated for the White Pine Award and the CLA Award, The Vancouver Book Award, The Myrca, Diamond Willow and Red Cedar prizes. Gabrielle has an MFA in Creative Writing from UBC and has taught writing at Sydney University, San Francisco State University, UBC and Royal Canadian College as well as at numerous conferences and in school classrooms.

Gabrielle was Writer in Residence at Vancouver Public Library in 2014 and has expertise in mentoring and supporting authors writing for adults, including those who are interested in self-publishing.
