First Dibs

This program is available for any teen aged 13-18 who wants to become an official PRPL Book Reviewer. Those registered with Brooks Secondary School’s volunteer service program get five-hours of volunteer credit for every book read and reviewed!

Own the Shelves

Are you a teen who loves books and/or art looking for volunteer hours, experience, or a way make your public library a better place for teens? Join Own the Shelves and have input into
programming and/or training opportunities for teens, make purchase suggestions for the teen collection, design posters and graphics, create book displays, curate booklists, and more!

Open to all high school students. Starts in January 2025. First

Teen Tech Volunteer

Are you a youth aged 12-18 who’s interested in gaming and/or Minecraft?

Volunteer 1.5 hours a week this summer on Saturdays. Volunteer duties would include providing Minecraft and gaming support and mentorship to youth aged 8 and up.

All Teen volunteers wanting to volunteer with youth are required to read and sign PRPL’s Code of Conduct for working with Children and youth and have a parent/guardian sign a statement of receipt and agreement.
