We love showing the Powell River Public Library to students of all-ages! We offer a variety of ways for students, teachers, homeschoolers and parents to explore the Library. These exciting opportunities include: 1) scheduled in-person library tours 2) scheduled zoom-based virtual library tours and 3) pre-recorded tour videos. Read on to learn more about each of these options:
1) In-person library tour and library card requests
To request a library tour and cards for your students, please fill out the Teacher Request Form below and have parents or guardians complete the Student Library Card Application. In the Teacher Request Form, you’ll be able to specify whether you want an in-person or virtual library tour. When you’ve received all the completed Library Card Application forms from your students, you can either drop your tour package off at the library or scan and send it to:

Once we’ve received your Teacher Request Form and Student Library Card Applications, our staff will create library cards for your students and Sonia Zagwyn or Mel Edgar will contact you to schedule your tour!

2) Zoom-based virtual library tour and library card requests
For options 1 and 2, the booking process is the same. Once we’ve received your Teacher Request Form and Student Library Card Applications, Sonia Zagwyn or Mel Edgar will contact you to schedule your virtual tour! You will need to pick up your completed student cards at the library service desk.
