The mission of Coastline CoLab is to support innovative business and creative entrepreneurs, and to establish an environment for collaboration in our community. Membership is required, and opportunities include mentorship, resources and seminars. They are located above the library.
Community Futures – Powell River
Community Futures is dedicated to supporting local residents who have small business goals. Their Business Advisors can walk you through planning, financing, registering and growing your business. Workshops to get you started are regularly offered.
First Credit Union
Powell River’s First Credit Union offers a small business banking program and lending services. They also host financial services workshops through Each One Teach One, which includes relevant business-related topics such as loans and contracts.
LIFT Community Services
LIFT is a local organization that offers a wide range of community supports and programs, centred around employment, immigrant services, community development, literacy, housing and sustainability. Marine Area Business Association (MABA)
With a focus on the Marine Avenue district of Powell River this association advocates for a thriving downtown waterfront section of our community and supports local festivals to rally business and celebrate.

An excellent resource for both start-ups and more established businesses in our community. They support market analysis through local statistics and can provide information about land use, licensing and regulations. As an association of business owners an annual membership is required. There are opportunities for networking and preliminary guidance for new business owners.
Women in Business Powell River
A network of women “who own, operate or work in a variety of businesses in our community” and offer support and empowerment through a variety of events, lectures, bursaries and mentorship opportunities. Membership is required at $50 per year.
