Spring Break Comic Camp 2022

This year comic camp is running VIRTUALLY for the two weeks over spring break, that’s more Comic Camp fun for you spread over 10 days, Monday through Friday, March 14-18 & 21-25!

TEEN CAMP REGISTRATION IS FULL. THERE ARE A FEW SPOTS REMAINING IN THE KIDS CAMP (Ages 8-10).

Parents/guardians wishing to register multiple participants must register each participant separately.

The library’s popular  Spring Break Comic Camp is back, this year welcoming back graphic novelist Cole Pauls as our guest artist!

Cole Pauls is a Tahltan comic artist, illustrator and printmaker hailing from Haines Junction (Yukon Territory) with a BFA in Illustration from Emily Carr University. Residing in Vancouver, Pauls focuses on his two comic series, the first being Pizza Punks: a self contained comic strip about punks eating pizza, the other being Dakwäkãda Warriors. In 2017, Pauls won Broken Pencil Magazine’s Best Comic and Best Zine of the Year Award for Dakwäkãda Warriors II. In 2020, Dakwäkãda Warriors won Best Work in an Indigenous Language from the Indigenous Voices Awards and was nominated for the Doug Wright Award categories, The Egghead & The Nipper.

A Kids Camp (ages 8-10) will run from 10:30 am-11:30 am.

And a Tween and Teen Camp (ages 11+) will run from 1:30- 3 pm. (REGISTRATION FULL) 

Registration is required and space is limited! Registrants will be invited to pick up a package of Comic Camp supplies at the library service desk the week before camp begins.
