Board Games

The Powell River Public Library’s  collection of board games is bigger and better and ready for you to play at any time! Simply ask to see the selection of games at the front desk and enjoy a game with friends and family here in the library, or bring your own.

Castle Panic + Settlers of Catan + Blokus + Power Grid + Pandemic + Scrabble + Hive + Labyrinth + Chess + Clue + Artist Trump Cards + Rivers, Roads & Rails + Go + Pictionary + Picking Pairs

We’ve got exploration and trade games, world-saving, code-cracking, Tetris pile-ups, collaborative castle defense games, and more. Games are for skill levels 5+.

We recommend that patrons under 10 years of age be accompanied by an adult when participating, and we request that parents of toddlers to be mindful of games-in-action due to small pieces that are choking hazards, and enjoy the children’s area.

And, as of 2022 we have a Community Chess Club!

Bring your own board, or check out one the boards available at the front desk with your library card. All ages and levels welcome. Kids under seven must be accompanied by an adult.
Drop-in, at the library. Weekly on Tuesdays, 3:30-4:30 pm.
