Teen Summer Programming

The Powell River Public Library is happy to offer a variety of programs for teens, ages 12 – 18, this summer. The camps and workshops include everything from film to graphic design, and writing.   • Teen Writing Camp: Dive deeper into writing. Five writers will explore genres like fiction, poetry and nonfiction. Monday, July 9 – Friday, July 13 from 10am – 1:30pm. Registration is required. For more information visit the event page here.

 

  • Go Graphic: Teen Graphic Design Workshop with Gary Shilling: Learn about graphic design and its concepts in this no-tech, lots of ideas two-day workshop. Wednesday, July 25 and Thursday, July 26. Registration is required. For more information visit the event page here.

 

  • Drop-in writers’ workshop: Teens working on stories for the Teen Writing Contest, or working on other personal projects are invited to join this one-day writing workshop with Powell River writer and editor Leni Goggins.   • Shoot it! Teen Film Camp: Join Powell River film maker Claudia Medina to explore the world of film and media, and make a one minute film. Monday, August 13 – Friday, August 17  from 10:30am – 1:30pm. Registration required. For more information about visit the event page here.
