Safe Visits to the Library

Powell River Public Library is here to share a lifetime of connection and curiosity with our community, keeping the public and our staff safe in this pandemic is critical to that vision.

The Library has been actively modifying services and our space to ensure that we are proactive and safe.

Safety

All in-person programming and events have been paused for the month of January 2022 as we assess safety protocols for staff and the public.

As of December 20, proof of vaccination is required to participate in events and gatherings at the library. This includes any library program, room booking or meeting or event facilitated by a partner organization.

Masks are required to enter the Library.

Plexiglas in the public computer area and at the service desk will remain in place.

Self-check machines are encouraged for circulation of materials.

Hand sanitizer and washrooms are available to patrons.

Occupancy of library rooms are posted and we ask that they not be exceeded.

High touch surfaces are cleaned twice per day.

Please do not consume food and drink in the Library at this time.

Please stay home if you are experiencing:

  • New or worsening cough,
  • Fever,
  • Chills,
  • Shortness of breath,
  • Sore throat,
  • New muscle aches and headache.

Please do not come to the Library if you have been instructed to isolate by public health.
