Library Closure in Response to COVID-19 Pandemic

The Powell River Public Library considers the health of our staff, patrons and partners to be a top priority and we have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely. Library staff and patrons are advised to take all recommended precautions to prevent exposure to COVID-19. At this moment those precautions include avoiding mass gatherings and using social distancing practices. Following the guidance from the federal and provincial authorities the library has been closed.

At the Library

The Powell River Public Library is currently closed until further notice.

Staying Healthy

If you are feeling sick please stay at home and recuperate. We want everyone to stay healthy and are mindful that some members of our community are more vulnerable than others.

If you have flu-like symptoms, please contact your healthcare provider or call HealthLink BC at 811 toll-free in BC (711 for the deaf and the hard of hearing) and speak with a health service navigator.

Overdue Items, Holds & Interlibrary Loans

All late fees are currently suspended, due dates will be extended to May 1st.

Holds have been suspended until May 1st.

Digital Library Use

We offer eBooks, eAudiobooks, and digital magazines that you can download to your phone, tablet or eReader through OverDrive and RB Digital platforms.
