What safety measures are in place?

I don’t have a Library Card but want to access digital resources, can I get one?
Yes. Now that we have re-opened the library for browsing (Mon-Fri, 10am – 6pm) we can provide library cards.
I have a Library Card but when I try to login it says “privilege expired.” What do I do?
Every three years our system checks-in to make sure you are a Powell River resident and your card may have temporarily expired, as we haven’t been able to see you recently. Please email email@example.com and we will reactivate your card and renew your library privileges for another three years or visit the library.
My checked-out items are coming due, how do I renew them?
Library material can be renewed online through My Library Account, on the upper right corner of our website, or by calling us at 604-485-4796 (press 0 for service). Library material can be enjoyed for four weeks.
Can I return my items to the Library?
Yes. Our drop box is open, located to the right of the foyer entrance.
My Interlibrary Loan item is nearing its due date, should I return it?
If you are able to return your ILL, please put it in the drop box. If not, contact us to let us know. Please note that “Illume” – the ILL Provincial service has been suspended, but is anticipated to be re-launched on August 18th.
I’m interested in using eBooks or eAudiobooks, but need help getting set up?

I have books to donate – can I bring them in for the Friends of the Library Book Drive?
The Friends of the Library are currently not selling or collecting donated books. Please check this web page for any changes.
