I don’t have a Library Card but want to access digital resources, can I get one?
Yes. We have created an Online Only library card that can access digital resources for the next six months. No I.D. is required but we do ask that you present I.D. when we re-open the physical library, and we can make sure you gain full library privileges like checking-out books. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to start this process.
I have a Library Card but when I try to login it says “expired.” What do I do?
Every three years our system checks-in to make sure you are a Powell River resident and your card may have temporarily expired, as we haven’t been able to see you recently. Please email email@example.com and we will reactivate your card and renew your library privileges for another three years.
My checked-out items are coming due, how do I renew them?
During the Library’s closure due dates on checked-out items have been extended to June 1st. Please don’t worry about your items right now. Keep them at home with you and enjoy them for as long as possible.
Can I return my items to the Library during the closure?
Yes. Our drop boxes are open.
My Interlibrary Loan item is nearing its due date, should I return it?
If you are able to return your ILL, please put it in the drop box. If not, contact us to let us know.
I have an pending Interlibrary Loan request, what will happen with it?
All currently pending Interlibrary Loan items are paused. We hope to have more updates once libraries re-open and business resumes.
I’m interested in using eBooks or eAudiobooks, but need help getting set up?

I was registered for an upcoming workshop, how do I find out if it’s been cancelled?
All in-person programs, events and workshops are cancelled until further notice. If you have questions about any workshops, readings or other Library programs please consult our events calendar.
