Celebrate Earth Month at the Library on Saturday, April 27 with two intergenerational planet-friendly workshops:
10 am – 12:30 pm
Create, be inspired and be the change! Join textile artists Shaunie Yates and Wendy Drummond to learn how old clothes can be new again by sewing or needle felting. This workshop will combine a presentation about slow fashion with hands-on activities. Bring problem garments that you want tips and tricks for. In partnership with the Fiber Space and Eunoia Fiber Studio and Gallery. Ages 12+ welcome. Registration required.
1:30 – 3:30 pm
Be the author, designer, and publisher of your very own handmade, recycled publication. From collage to comics, poetry to manifestos, the blue sky is the limit in this DIY magazine workshop. Ages 8+. Drop in.
