Wild Salmon: Creative Collage with Sarah Clement

Kids 8-12 join artist/illustrator Sarah Clement on Zoom to make colourful collages using hand-painted papers you’ve created! With the help of templates, everyone can make their own unique and colourful piece of artwork. The templates of salmon species, lifecycles and habitat are just a starting point. You’ll be amazed with what you come up with!
Space is limited. Registration closes January 25. Pick up your workshop supplies at the library January 27-February 2.
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
- A take-home package of art supplies, including gouache paints, brushes, watercolour paper, carbon transfer paper and templates.

2 x 60 mins Zoom led art classes by Sarah Clement

First class is on Wednesday, February 3rd, 4:00-5:00pm PST. Using gouache paints and watercolour paper, you’ll make your own hand-painted papers.

Second class is on Thursday, February 4th, 4:00-5:00pm PST You’ll use the hand-painted papers created in the first class as your collage material. You’ll use templates of salmon species, lifecycle and habitat elements to create a one-of-a-kind piece.

- brushes
- water jar/ palette (I usually use a glass jar & yogurt lid!)
- glue stick
- scissors
- pencil
