United Magazine: Teen drop-in sessions
Are you a teen interested in what it takes to make a magazine?
Maybe you’re a writer who’d like to work on having your pieces published. Or a photographer interested in learning how to edit photos. OR a budding graphic designer looking to start building your skills.
United Magazine is a teen-led and created project done in partnership with Brooks Secondary School.
Drop-in sessions will start Thursday, October 11 and will be held every following Thursday in the Rotary Makerspace. During these sessions teens will be introduced to the different aspects of magazine time and given supervised time to work on projects related to United Magazine.
Epublications will be created featuring all contributed work and an annual publication will be made at the end of each school year celebrating the work of teens on the magazine.
