Poetry in the Park
Hey Poetry People, the Powell River Public Library misses you! Let’s get together outside and celebrate the spoken word at ….
Poetry in the Park!
Every Wednesday, 4 – 5 pm at the Rotary Pavilion @ Willingdon Beach! (Summer 2021)
This is a friendly, inclusive, non-competitive event. The hot fire spitting of the Powell River Poetry SLAM is transmogrified as cool breezes that gently waft our words into ocean vistas. Whoosh! Poetry Welcome! Bring a poem to read or share!
It’s summertime but Poetry in the Park is (somewhat) weather dependent. The location offers shadow and cool cover, but we recommend you bring your own sun hat or umbrella if you have sun concerns. Bring a blanket or towel in case of cold concrete or damp ground conditions. On the off chance Poetry in the Park is cancelled (due to weather, smoke, or other unexpected situations) the Teen Services Coordinator will be in communication, so check your email (if you registered) before you go!
Reservation is encouraged as limited space is available. To register each week, email Teen Services Coordinator Mel Edgar at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone the library.
Masks are optional at this outdoor event.
