Odestravaganza: Youth Poetry Workshop
4411 Michigan Ave.
The poet Pablo Neruda wrote hundreds of poems, called odes, to ordinary things – bread and socks, scissors and salt, clouds and the colour green to name just a few.
In this workshop, we’ll write our own odes in praise of ordinary things. We’ll explore poetic tools that can help us make ordinary things seem extraordinary and in the process we’ll write a poem, or two, that can be entered in the Ordinary Odes Youth Poetry Contest. Youth ages 8-13 welcome.
To register for the workshop, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 604-485-8663.
