2021 BC Writers Series presents Jordan Scott & Sydney Smith @ Virtual

What if words got stuck in the back of your mouth whenever you tried to speak? What if they never came to you the way you wanted them to? I Talk Like A River is a book for any child who feels lost, lonely or unable to fit in.

Brought to you by the Powell River Friends of the Library, the Powell River Public Library presents author Jordan Scott and illustrator Sydney Smith speaking about their book, I Talk Like a River (2020), finalist for the BC and Yukon Christie Harris Illustrated Children’s Literature Prize, and named a CBC Best Picture book of the year.

The Powell River Public Library is thrilled to announce the third year of the BC Writers Series. This year, four virtual events in which four writers, and one illustrator highlight some of the best work in the province: youth fiction & non-fiction, adult non-fiction and picture books. Presenters will read from their works, share their process and answer your questions. Melanie Siebert, Sara Cassidy and Wendy Wickwire will be part of this series offered in partnership between the Powell River Friends of the Library and the Powell River Public Library.
