Summer Reading Club Case #5 – Perilous Puzzles!

 Case #5 is Perilous Puzzles!

Hello Detectives! This case will require you to put on your best thinking cap, and pay close attention to detail! Make sure you have your magnifying glass for this case, because things are about to get a little…puzzling!

Supplies Needed:

– Perilous Puzzles Instruction sheet (available here)

– Cutout cardboard tangram pieces (template available here)

– Perilous Puzzle work sheet (available here)

– Colouring or painting supplies

BC Summer Reading Club has some fun activities released weekly! This week they made biography in a bag and hero posters! For my hero poster I decided to draw my mom in her nurses uniform! You can access BC SRC activities here!

                                 

On Friday July 30th from 10:00 – 10:45Am we will be hosting “Present Your Case,” a virtual meet-up where you can show us your amazing creations! If you our Registered with Summer Reading Club watch your emails on Friday July 30th for the link!

SRC has extended the deadline by one extra week for entries for Green Thumb Theatre’s Play Ending Contest and Artwork Submission, entries are now due on August 2nd, 2021! You can try your hand at becoming a mystery playwright and complete the ending to Misadventure at the Lighthouse, you can access the script here. You can access some tips for playwriting or how to participate here! If you do not like writing but still want to participate SRC has some drawing options for you! You can create a poster, available here , or draw a character or location from Misadventure at the lighthouse, available here!  If neither of those options interest you they also have a create your own scavenger hunt activity, available here, or some games available here!

Green Thumb Theatre will have professional actors do a live virtual play reading where they’ll select and read 3 different endings submitted by participants on Wednesday, August 18th @ 2pm on YouTube! You can access SRC’s website here for more information!
