Case #4 is Mysterious Mysteries of Detection!

Hello Detectives! I can almost hear your detective senses tingling at the idea of a new Case! This weeks Case is going to require you to use one of your most important senses…… your sense of touch! Since we know the best detectives are on the case, we think that you will be able to crack it!

Supplies

– Mysterious Mysteries of Detection Instruction sheet (available here)

– Sealed mystery paper bag (Do Not Open!)

– Top Secret Notebook

– Pencil crayon or felt pen

– Sheet or two of paper

BC Summer Reading Club has some fun activities released weekly! This week they made Egg Carton Jelly Fish and showed you how to make a scavenger/treasure hunt!  You can access BC SRC activities here!

This Friday July 23rd from 10-11:00Am we have “Draw Your Own Adventure with Zoe Si” the artist for Summer Reading Club this year! Zoe will share her journey from art-loving kid, to lawyer, to professional illustrator, and the role that autobiographical cartooning can play in learning about yourself and creating your own adventures. Zoe will guide participants in designing and drawing detective characters that reflect their own unique personalities and traits, or whatever else is in their imagination. If you are registered with Summer Reading Club be sure to watch your emails Friday July 23rd for the link! You won’t want to miss it!

SRC is teaming up with Green Thumb Theatre Monday, June 28th and has extended submissions until Monday, Aug 2nd! You can try your hand at becoming a mystery playwright and complete the ending to Misadventure at the LighthouseGreen Thumb Theatre will have professional actors do a live virtual play reading where they’ll select and read 3 different endings submitted by participants on Wednesday, August 18th @ 2pm on YouTube! There are also options for those who would rather create artwork  for a character or location! You can access SRC’s website here for more information!
